Cat. #00164531: ANITA LOUISE

Heavenly, uncommonly early 10.5 x 13-inch sepia-tone portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the early 1930s. In fine condition for its age, with some edgewear. Charming Anita Louise entered film in 1922 at the age of six, and graduated to ingenue roles in major productions throughout the 1930s. After 1940, she appeared mostly in B-movies, turning to television in the following decade. She considered her beauty to be a detriment to her career, hindering her from being considered for more serious roles.
